Summer Skincare Routine (2012)

NOTE: If you're reading this post through Trendymag.net please go to YunaFashion.Blogspot.com to read the original post, I do not own, sponsor or affiliate with Trendymag.net, they took my content without my permission.  I don't know who are they but a lot of my readers are getting confuse with them and my blog :[

Sorry for the lack of post this summer, I started a new job and I'm been busier then ever but I will try my best to post as much as I can.

Summer is nearly ending here, finally!  Fall/Winter is my favorite seasons if you don't know me by now :D  I want to share some of my frequently use skincare items I use mostly through summer.

For reference I have oily/combination skin in the summer and occasional breakouts.

Cleanser
Every night I use the Desert Essence Tea Tree face wash (Purchased at Whole Foods).  This stuff cleans out everything, if you have dry skin I wouldn't recommend using this because it will strip your face dry.  I have oily skin in the summer so this keep my face squeaky clean.

In the morning I rotate between Biore foaming cleanser and the St. Ives Green tea.  Both is okay but I'm just trying to use them up since Cetaphil is still my favorite morning cleanser.

Night Moisturizers
At night I use the Alpha Hydrox Oil-Free Treament with 10% Glycolic AHA, this is more of a chemical exfoliate so I only use this before bed time and a little goes a long way.  I love this stuff it makes my skin really smooth in the morning, will definitely continue to use this in the furture.

After applying the AHA I use the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel for extra moisture.

For my night eye cream I use Physcians Formula Hydrating Eye Cream.

Depending on my mood, some nights I use the Naruko Tea Tree serum and Tea Tree Gelly before bed.

Morning Moisturizers
I use the Missha's Time Revolution Immortal Youth Serum, this serum is pretty good and does moisturize pretty well.

For my lotion I use the Merlot Natural Grape Seed moisturizer with SPF 15.  If I wear BB Cream which usually have high sun protection I would use this moisturizer since now I am more careful with protecting my skin from the sun.

On days when I don't wear makeup I use Shiseido Senka Mineral Sunscreen UV Gel SPF 50 for a little more protection.  I am very picky with face sunscreen especially ones with high SPF because I hate the greasy feeling and strong scent they have but this sunscreen is an exception and I will continue to use this.

For my day eye cream I use the Lancome Multi-Vital eye with SPF 28.  This was a free sample, the eye cream is okay not moisturizing enough in my opinion.

Extras
For a once a week treat, I like to use my Clarisonic Mia to exfoliate my skin.

After exfoliating I would use a sheet mask and leave it on for 15-20 minutes, it really does feels nice on the skin :]

That is all, thank you for reading!

2011 All Time Favorites

Here are some of my most used and loved products of 2011

Étude House Blush
Unfortunately this blush is discounted because I try looking it up on EBay and other sites that carry this brand so I'm sorry for mentioning this but this was one of my favorites all last year. It's a cool tone light pink but on my cheeks it's gives that nice baby pink color.

Naruko Tea Tree Serum and Night Gelly
In 2011 I started trying out Naruko products which I fell in love with this brand but their Tea Tree line really stood out to me. During the summer it helped prevent me for getting acne and my skin from getting oily. Definitely a good product to try if you have oily acne skin year round or during summer.

Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer
Another product that's discontinued but I've seen it at buymebeauty.com for a much cheaper price. This is one of the few concealers I've tried that doesn't crease on me and I love the smooth texture when applying this. I manage to get another backup of this concealer when it went on sale at CVS before it was gone completely.

Essence Black Gel Eyeliner
This gel liner has replaced my Mac fluidline, although I'm still trying to finish up my Mac one but when it's done I will forever use this liner. The lasting power is really good and it applies so smoothly and guess what? It's under $4! Something I didn't expect for such a good price.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer
This is a very basic tinted moisturizer but it evens out my skin tone and gives a very light coverage and most importantly doesn't give my skin a greasy feeling like most tinted moisturizers do.

Missha Makeup Remover
This have to be my all time favorite makeup remover, it removes everything even waterproof makeup effortlessly. I use to use the Target brand which is a generic brand of Neutrogena's oil free makeup remover but it doesn't remover everything easily as the Missha one. I purchase this from Missha's website when they had a 40% off everything, you should add their Facebook to get deals.

Benefit Posie Tint
As you can see from the picture the logo rubbed off :p I use to use this product for my cheeks but since summer 2011 I started using this on my lips and I love how it gives a hint of light red on my lips. Ever since I started using this as a lip stain I started experiencing other lip stains in the market but I always come back to this one. Benefit products is pricey but a little of this goes a long way.

Vanicream Moisturizing Skin Cream
I've been using this all throughout Fall and Winter, its a very good basic moisturizer if you have dry flaky skin. If you don't like products containing parabens, dyes, fragrance or mineral oil this is the product for you, they also carry the light version of this for people with oily skin.

Wet n' Wild single eyeshadows in "Brûlée" and "Nutty"
For $1.99 each these eyeshadows are amazing like all of their eyeshadows these apply buttery smooth. I use brûlée as a brow bone color and it does a great job blending out harsh lines and I use Nutty as a all over lid color.

Garnier Moisture Rescue Gel Cream
I made a full review of this product, you can find it in my review list on this right side of this blog. This was my summer favorite item, it feels refreshing and never broken me out.

Clarisonic Mia Brush Cleansing System
It took me a really long time to finally purchase this, the reason why was because I couldn't justify paying $150 but ever since the price lowered to $119 and during October Sephora had a 20% friends and family discount and I had a gift card so i couldn't pass this up, in total I payed $50. After trying this out for good couple of months I have to say this item is amazing and totally worth it! It made my skin very soft and smooth. I use to use the Olay version of this ($29.99) which was good but the water started leaking into the battery so I figured i should pay more for quality. This is definitely worth trying out, if you don't want to pay for such a high price I suggest getting it during the Sephora Friends and Family sale.

Missha Super Aqua Hydrating Emulsion and Marine Forest Toner
A good lightweight moisturizer and toner but hydrates my skin very well especially during fall when my skin is still oily but a little dry in some areas. One thing I dislike about these is the glass packaging it's very hard to dispense the product :(

Wet n' Wild 8 Pan Palette in "Comfort Zone"
If you're a neutral lover like me then you must get this palette if you haven't already. For $4.99 at drugstores the eyeshadows are very smooth and super pigmented I barely made a dent in this palette and I used it very often.

E.L.F Conditioning Lip Balm
These tinted lip balms are very moisturizing and gives a hint of color plus SPF 15! On E.L.F website these are $3 each but E.L.F always do sales and I got these for 50% off, $1.50 each.

All time new favorite brands:
Missha: Not just their popular BBCreams but their makeup and skincare really impressed me, if it wasn't for their discounts and sales they usually have during a holiday I would never try out other products they sell in their site.
Naruko: Another good skincare brand to try, I tried some of their popular lines like Tea Tree, Magnolia and Narcissus and my skin loves it! I can see myself using this brand form here on out!

Let's see what new products will I be liking in 2012 and will they replace these items above? We will see! Thank you for reading!
