Review: Maybelline Eye Studio Eyeshadow
Where to Buy: any drugstores
Price: around $9.99 depending on where you purchase it
What Maybelline Says:
Now silk makes shadow new again. Discover an indugent color experience in Eye Studio's by Maybelline 4-shade eyeshadow compact. Soft, smooth texture. Pure color. Striking results.
From the price I'm assuming this is Maybelline's high quality line just like L'oreal's H.I.P because Maybelline are usually affordable with their regular eyeshadow quads costing less then $6.
I remember seeing this palette in Asian magazines and on Sasa.com but they were way too overpriced since western brand cosmetics are usually expensive overseas. Couple months later I saw them at Target and the sparkles in these shadows really got me to purchase this palette in "Give me Gold".
After weeks of using it I am really loving this palette, I can't say how I feel about the other palettes because I have yet to try them. The texture is smooth and blendable and the pigmentation is good for the price.
If you're someone like me who loves shimmer eyeshadow this is a good palette to have, the shimmers are not glittery like Urban Decay's Midnight Cowboy or few eyeshadows you see at Claires, they're very fine and would be really nice to wear at nights.
Overall I love it and will be purchasing other palettes to try out, however the price and the amount of product in these are not great so its best to wait for any coupon or deal offers in some drugstores.
Here's a look using the palette
Would I buy this again?: yes
